A fire drill is a realistic exercise where people are evacuated from the building without being informed about it, in order to verify performance had a real situation happen. Evacuation timing is recorded alongside people’s check at assembly points. A fire drill report is then issued which would show what happened during the fire drill and improvement recommendations pointed out in order to ensure a quick and smooth evacuation had a real fire occur. A documented fire drill need to be performed once every 6 months in order to satisfy legal requirements and to ensure safety of everybody concerned at the workplace.
